Check out this useful method of prepping garlic after harvest. Just take the stem and peel back the outer layers. Once you are near the base, split the leaf in half and peel the outer layer way. Trim the root ball to reduce the risk of rot and excess moisture in the bulb. Hang for 2 weeks and there you have cured your garlic. Good to plait for storage, harvesting from the bottom up. Happy garlic eating.

It was a pleasure to meet Karen at the Canberra Home and Leisure Show representing Capital Wines from Murrumbateman. Garlicious Grown Black Garlic scores GOLD and highest points awarded in Regional Food Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards 2017
Thrilled to let you know our black garlic cloves have been awarded a gold medal with 94.67 points of 100! We entered as part of the overall Regional Foods part of the competition featuring 23 classes. Our score was the highest in any class of this part of the competition and we feel is a true endorsement of the quality of our black garlic.
Our smoked garlic powder also scored a silver medal which was terrific too. The new packaging is working well on retailer's shelves and we are grateful for all the support from fellow garlic growers, retailers and food service buyers.
